Contract (Article 6(1)(b)); legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) for financial records.
Data we handle on behalf of clients. When we build or run automations for a client (for example, responding to their property enquiries) the client is the data controller and we act as their processor under a written data-processing agreement. That data is covered by the client's own privacy notice, not this one.
Who we share it with
Service providers who process data on our instructions and under contract: email and calendar (Google Workspace), CRM (HubSpot or Zoho), automation hosting (n8n on a UK/EU-hosted server), AI model providers used inside our automations (OpenAI, Anthropic), e-signature, SMS delivery, accounting software, and our accountant. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers. Some providers process data outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Prospective clients: 12 months from our last contact, or until you opt out.
Enquiries: 12 months after we last hear from you.
Clients: for the length of our contract plus 6 years, to meet HMRC record-keeping rules.
Opt-outs: kept on a suppression list indefinitely so we do not contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to transfer it to you or another provider. You can object to direct marketing at any time and we will always honour that. Email alex@gorgut.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Marketing emails
We send business-to-business marketing emails to corporate email addresses. Every email says who we are and how to opt out. If you would rather not hear from us, reply unsubscribe or email alex@gorgut.co.uk.
